ELD Curriculum Overlays

A curriculum overlay is a planning tool that highlights the language demands of a unit and provides strategies to support multilingual learners. Curriculum overlays help ensure that language development is not an “add-on” but a fully integrated part of content instruction. Overlays can be used in both designated ELD settings (targeted instruction led by an ELD specialist), and integrated ELD settings (such as co-teaching or sheltered content instruction).

Explore our growing collection of curriculum overlays. We will continue adding new overlays throughout the year, so check back often for updates!
